Mont. Personhood Backers Push for Fall Election
Right-to-life workers are pushing ahead to get the Personhood Amendment on the ballot in Montana this Fall, despite opposition from not only Planned Parenthood but also Catholic leadership in that state.
The article cites that "Montana has long had problems with language from its constitution getting in the way of reducing abortions as it is one of a handful that have a privacy clause that its state supreme court has misinterpreted to mean that abortion should be legal without limits." Therefore, a constitutional amendment specifically is critical to the pro-life personhood movement in that state.
